Philadelphia third baseman Ryan Braun helped his team beat the St. Louis Cardinals, 7-6. Braun went 2 for 5 for the Phillies. Philadelphia reliever Jimmy Haynes picked up the win to move to 4-3. Tom Linarelli suffered the loss. The Phillies go to 61-90 with the win.
Early in the game, Braun had a 3-run home run for Philadelphia. It was his 20th home run of the season and put the Phillies on top, 3-0.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said St. Louis manager Kendall Cards. "The effort was great."
