The home crowd had a good time watching the Texas Rangers and Minnesota Twins get after it.

Minnesota Twins starter Bear Bay turned in an exceptional performance against the Texas Rangers at Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome, resulting in a Minnesota win, 5-1. Bay, now 10-11, was the winner. In 8 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 3, and allowing 1 run.

Had Victor Garcia not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Garcia hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Twins.

"It never gets old," said Bay. "Winning, that is."

The 4th-place Twins have won 4 in a row.
