Twins Winners, 3-1, Over Red Sox
Roy Oswalt pitched a gem to lead Minnesota to victory over the Boston Red Sox, 3-1. Eric Knott nailed down the save. The 'W' lifts Minnesota's record to 34-30.

Ichiro Suzuki, who finished 5th in the AL in triples with 10 in 2000, had a timely hit in the bottom of the fifth inning. With one out and a runner on 2nd, the Minnesota left fielder hit a run-scoring single. That put the Twins in front, 1-0.

"I thought Roy threw the ball well across the board," said Minnesota manager Chris S.
