Brewers Lose to Reds, 5-2
|
2007 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Milwaukee Brewers.
The Milwaukee Brewers got a superb performance from pitcher Manny Parra, but the Cincinnati Reds still won the game, 5-2. Parra threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball. With the victory, the Reds upped their record to 84-63.
Cincinnati used a timely hit from Vincent Blue to get the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Reds ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"We'll just keep our nose to the grindstone," Blue told the Cincinnati Bulletin.
