The Minnesota Twins pinned a convincing loss on the Chicago White Sox, 14-3, at U.S. Cellular Field. Jeff Mathis was a main factor in the win. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 6 for Minnesota. The Twins improved their record to 30-33 by beating Chicago.

Minnesota used the clutch hitting of Joel Sajiun to capture the win. The right fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Twins the lead, 4-3. For the game, Sajiun had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.

"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said Chicago manager Joe D.
