Dodgers Lose By a Run at San Francisco
|
The San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.
The San Francisco Giants scored a tight, 3-2 win versus the Los Angeles Dodgers at AT & T Park. San Francisco pitcher Matt Garza held his own in the contest. Garza, now 2-0, was the winner. In 7.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 3, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Mark Woodyard wrapped it up, recording his 3rd save.
MigdĂ´nio Rangel contributed to the San Francisco win with a solo home run in the bottom of the eighth. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 run batted in.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Los Angeles manager Tom T said, following the tough loss.
The loss drops Los Angeles to 3-3.
