Garcia Spins Masterpiece, No-Hits Atlanta
In a dominant outing, Vinny Garcia of the Anaheim Angels totally silenced the bats of the Atlanta Braves, finishing with a no-hitter.

In the 3-0 victory, Garcia faced only 29 batters, surrendered no hits, had 5 strikeouts and 2 walks.

"Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Anaheim manager Kadin D said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any."

Commenting on the defeat, losing manager Brandon R told reporters in the clubhouse that he had a "simple" analysis of the game.

"The Angels had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Garcia pitched a heck of a ballgame."

In 10 starts this season, Garcia has fashioned a 7-2 record and a 3.39 ERA.
