Braves Get 6th Straight Win with Late Rally
Kyle Blanks did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Cincinnati Reds from being beaten, 8-5, to the Atlanta Braves at Great American Ball Park. Blanks was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. The Braves have now won 6 straight.

Atlanta used the timely hitting of Miguel Figueroa to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Braves on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

Figueroa told a local reporter: "My job is to go out and play as hard as I can."
