Delgadillo Shuts Out 66ers, 11-0
|
The Inland Empire 66ers struggled at the plate against JetHawks hurler Juan Delgadillo, who shackled them on 1 hit while hurling a complete-game 11-0 shutout.
"What can you say? We didn't hit well," said 66ers skipper Taylor Duncan in postgame comments. "Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow."
Delgadillo finished the game with 7 strikeouts and 1 walk in an excellent mound performance.
"He pitched real well," Lancaster manager Steve Curry said. "Juan made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively."
In 26 starts this season, Delgadillo has registered a 10-6 record and a 2.12 ERA.
