Big Day for Corley: Swats 5 Hits
|
The San Bernardino Stampede couldn't stop Brad Corley, but they stopped the Lake Elsinore Storm, 4-3. Corley went 5-for-5 in the game at Storm Stadium, but his team still came out on the wrong end of the score.
"I feel bad for Brad -- that's not how any of us wanted things to turn out," said Lake Elsinore manager Jason Henderson. "The Stampede were on their game today."
Brad Corley singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 11th.
Corley is hitting .299 this season with 2 home runs, 14 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has 56 hits in 187 at-bats.
