Diamondbacks Get One-Run Win at Colorado
|
The Arizona Diamondbacks topped the Colorado Rockies, 2-1, in NL action at Coors Field. The standout performance belonged to Arizona pitcher and Yorba Linda, California, native Marc Rzepczynski. With the loss, Colorado sinks to 1-4.
Jake Duncan, who is a two-time All-Star, had a direct impact on the outcome. Duncan contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth inning to put Arizona up, 2-0.
"Marc's a gamer," said Arizona manager Rock B. "Glad he's on our side."
