Soggy conditions did not keep Cincinnati and Pittsburgh from playing their scheduled game.

Reds center fielder Corey Patterson left his mark on his team's 7-3 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Patterson, who is tied for 3rd in the NL in RBI with 37, was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for Cincinnati in the contest. The Reds now own a record of 32-16.

Jesus Rojas helped the Cincinnati cause with one out in the bottom of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Cincinnati leading 4-3, he hit a sacrifice fly.

"We didn't play well enough to win," said Pittsburgh skipper Ryan W.
