Athletics Beat Royals, 4-0
|
Starting pitcher Cesar Ramos had a solid game. He was a big reason the Oakland Athletics throttled the Kansas City Royals, 4-0. Brad Lincoln earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. His record is now 3-0. The second-place Royals dropped to 24-19.
Oakland went up, 3-0, on Jorge Posada's 6th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Posada hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Kansas City pitcher Jonny Venters stewing.
"Cesar pitched like a champ," said Oakland manager Jared M.
