Pirates Get Past Cincinnati for 6-5 Win
The 6-5 Pittsburgh win over Cincinnati was due in large part to Casey Kotchman. The Pirates designated hitter was 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The win belonged to Chad Cordero in relief. His record improves to 2-2. Jeff Pico took the loss for Cincinnati. So far in 2005, Pittsburgh is 23-17.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Kotchman hit a sinker from Jeff Pico for a run-scoring double. The Pirates, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Kotchman said.
