8-4 Win Takes Blue Jays to 23-17
|
Toronto registered a win at SkyDome by beating the Baltimore Orioles, 8-4. Pitcher Robert Stiehl was one reason why the Blue Jays triumphed. Stiehl, the winner, moves to 7-0. He threw 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 2 walks. The Orioles, at 22-18, have lost 4 straight games.
Martin Prado could have done more damage. In the top of the ninth, with Baltimore trailing 8-3, Baltimore had the bases loaded. That's when Prado hit a sacrifice fly. But it was not enough. Toronto would go on to win the game.
