Dodgers Suffer 6-2 Loss to Cardinals
|
St. Louis Cardinals starter Randy Knoll turned in a top-notch performance against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Busch Stadium. The result was a win for the Cardinals, 6-2. In 6.2 innings, Knoll surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs. The Cardinals, now 11-21, have not found much traction so far in 2004.
Making an impact for the home team was Carlos Lee. In the bottom of the fourth, the former first round draft pick had a run-scoring ground out. That made the score 2-0, Cardinals.
"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Tom T.
