Bonifay goes 3-for-4 in Atlanta Win
The Atlanta Braves beat the Houston Astros, 8-2, at Turner Field. Atlanta designated hitter Josh Bonifay led the way. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. The Astros fall to 12-16 and continue their rocky start to the 2004 season.

Lamont Matthews's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth was significant, coming with runners on 1st and 3rd and the game tied, 2-2. The Atlanta right fielder hit a run-scoring single off Kevin Appier to put the Braves up.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Matthews. "You've got to get results."
