Reds Capture Close Win
The Cincinnati Reds picked up a win at Busch Stadium, taking down the St. Louis Cardinals, 4-3. Starting pitcher Wesley Crawford was a big reason why. Jerry Blevins notched his 7th save of the season. The triumph makes Cincinnati 16-6, as the team begins another long trek toward the playoffs in 2006.

Cincinnati used a timely hit from Raul Romero to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Reds ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

Afterward, Reds manager Scott Smith said, "We had some good at-bats, some big at-bats in some key situations."
