Giants Defeat Reds, 6-2
|
The San Francisco Giants converted a terrific effort from starter Heath Timmerman into a win over the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park. The Giants won the game by a final score of 6-2. The third-place Giants have won 4 in a row.
It could have been a different outcome for San Francisco, had it not been for Ricky Gonzaba, the 28-year old third baseman . Gonzaba contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put San Francisco up, 5-1.
"We're playing like we're capable of," said San Francisco manager Bob C.
