Kansas City Keeps Trending in Wrong Direction
|
Boston Red Sox starter Clayton Richard turned in a top-notch performance against the Kansas City Royals at Fenway Park. The result was a win for the Red Sox, 6-2. The losses continue to mount for Kansas City, which has now dropped 8 in a row.
John Roskos had a big 2-run home run for the Red Sox in the bottom of the third inning. With Boston leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a slider from Hector Rondon, who is tied for 3rd in the AL with a 1.05 WHIP, and punished it. The result was his 18th home run of the season, which put the Red Sox on top, 4-0.
"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Kansas City manager Kevin S.
