Mariners Stay Hot With 7-3 Win
|
The Seattle Mariners faced a tough opponent in Baltimore pitcher Jung-hoon Kim, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Oriole Park at Camden Yards by a final score of 7-3. Kim went 5 innings and allowed 1 run. Seattle pitcher Ryan Rupe earned the win, hiking his record to 11-7. Jesse Litsch suffered the loss. With the win, Seattle upped its record to 69-43.
Seattle used a well-timed hit by Shawn Norris to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Mariners ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
Norris attributed the win to his team's "concerted effort."
