Preciado, Braves Ring Up 12-8 Win
|
The Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee Brewers lit up the scoreboard.
The Atlanta Braves beat the Milwaukee Brewers by a score of 12-8. Atlanta third baseman Elias Preciado deserved the lion's share of the credit. Preciado was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the Braves. The winner was Atlanta reliever Sean Farrell, now 2-0. The loser was Jason Vargas.
Center Fielder Choo Freeman made an impact for Atlanta, when he swatted a bases-clearing triple off Jason Vargas in the bottom of the third. For the contest, Freeman went 2 for 4 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once.
"Winning never gets dull," said Freeman.
With the win, Atlanta has a record of 57-52. Milwaukee falls to 48-62.
