3-1 Tigers Win over Orioles Evens Season Record
|
The Detroit Tigers picked up a win at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, knocking off the Baltimore Orioles, 3-1. Starting pitcher Josh Outman was a big reason why. Rich Harden notched his 5th save in 7 chances. The second-place Tigers have won 7 in a row.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Doug Mientkiewicz? The Detroit catcher had a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Tigers on top, 1-0. For the game, Mientkiewicz had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Every loss hurts," said Baltimore manager Tim K. "But this was a tough one."
