Carlos E. Hernandez pitched a gem to lead Cincinnati to victory over the Houston Astros, 2-0. Cincinnati is off to a hot start at 8-1.

The Reds got a big at-bat from first baseman Eric Hinske. For the game, Hinske was 3-4 with 2 doubles. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 5th double of the season gave Cincinnati a 1-0 lead.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Cincinnati skipper Scott Smith.
