Reds Even With Rockies After Extra-Innings Win
The Cincinnati Reds and the Colorado Rockies will take the Division Series to a decisive 5th game. Facing a must-win situation at Coors Field, the Reds beat the Rockies, 8-7, in extra innings to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Cincinnati left fielder Raul Romero went 4-5 with 3 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Corey Patterson? The Cincinnati center fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Reds on top, 8-7. For the game, Patterson had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We lost," Colorado manager Kyle Mar said later. "We'll deal with it. The series isn't over."
