Reds Even With Rockies After Home Win
The Cincinnati Reds knotted up the Division Series at Great American Ball Park, thanks in large part to starter John Lackey. Lackey quieted the Colorado Rockies, enabling Cincinnati to grab the 4-1 win and move into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-5 series.

Cincinnati starter John Lackey was exceptional. The 6-foot-6 right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits over 8 innings of work.

"John showed what he's made of," said Cincinnati manager Scott Smith.

The next game is set to be played for Thursday, October 10th , 2002 at Coors Field.
