Reds Advance to Division Series
The joy and relief on the faces of the Cincinnati Reds players was obvious as they celebrated their Wild Card win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

"In a series like this, the smallest thing can make the difference in how it turns out," said Cincinnati left fielder Jonny Gomes, shortly after the 8-3 win that clinched the series 2-1. "We're happy we did what it takes to get it done."

The team is now off to the Division Series.

Gomes won series MVP honors on the strength of his .333 batting average during the series. He also had a .429 on-base percentage and 2 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 3 runs.

The Cincinnati Reds will play against the Houston Astros in the next round. Houston had a bye in the Wild Card. The Division Series schedule will be announced after the Wild Card finishes.
