Cleveland Wins, 4-3, Over Devil Rays
|
The Cleveland Guardians picked up a win at Jacobs Field, knocking off the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, 4-3. On the mound for Cleveland was right-hander Kevin Mulvey. He played a key role in the triumph. Cleveland reliever Cla Meredith got the win, raising his record to 2-2. Dallas Braden was tagged with the loss. The Guardians now own a record of 41-44.
The decisive blow was delivered by Wilson Ramos in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a solo home run off former first round draft pick Dallas Braden to win the game for Cleveland. The home crowd went nuts.
"This place was rocking at the end," Ramos said.
