Giants Lose, 5-3, in 11
|
The Arizona Diamondbacks outlasted the San Francisco Giants, 5-3, in 11 innings. Jake Duncan led the way, going 3-for-4 for Arizona. Jose Urbina, now 2-2, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.1 innings. Greg Bartlett picked up the save, his 1st.
Duncan had a game-changing home run in the top of the 11th. On a 2-2 forkball from Manuel Camacho, he banged a 2-run home run to center, giving the Diamondbacks a 5-3 lead. It was the 21st home run of the year for Duncan.
"Jake is still learning," said Diamondbacks manager Rock B. "The sky's the limit for him."
After today's action, Arizona sits at 44-38, while San Francisco falls to 43-38.
