Cubs Drop Close One Late
|
Milwaukee starter David Cuen pitched well against the Chicago Cubs at Miller Park. The left-hander led his team to a win, 2-1, in 11 innings. Chicago is now 1-7.
Tydus Meadows played the role of hero for Milwaukee. In the bottom of the 11th, he launched a solo home run off Hector Noesi to win the game. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was the decisive blow.
Milwaukee manager Brian Boyd commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
