Tulowitzki has 4 hits to Light Mariners Fuse
|
Troy Tulowitzki, who leads the AL with a .445 on-base percentage, led Seattle to a triumph over Atlanta. The final score was 10-8. The shortstop went 4 for 5, falling a triple shy of the cycle. He scored 3 runs and added 2 RBI. Ryan Rupe picked up the win, lifting his record to 3-4 on the season. He struck out 6 and walked 5 in 5 innings, while yielding 6 runs. Chris Gogolewski earned the save for Seattle.
Seattle relied on the bat of Chris Davis to get the win. The designated hitter produced a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Mariners ahead, 9-1. For the game, Davis had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Davis said.
The Mariners, at 36-39, sit in last place in the AL West Division.
