Player of the Week: Houston HS's Cooper Monday, March 19th , 1917 The votes have been tallied and the winner of the Conference 1 Player of the Week has been named. It was awarded earlier today to Samuel Cooper for his great week at the plate. The Houston HS right fielder took home the trophy by banging out 11 hits in 20 at-bats for a .550 batting average, driving in 3 runs and scoring 8 times. So far this season, Cooper has put up a .352 batting average with 19 hits, no home runs and 4 RBIs. |
