Memphis HS Shuts Out Diamondbacks, Williams Winner Saturday, May 22nd , 1915 The Memphis HS Danes did little to support starter Clarence Williams against the Huntington Beach HS Diamondbacks, but it turned out he didn't need the help. The left-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Diamondbacks, striking out 6 and surrendering 8 hits. The performance from Williams allowed Memphis HS to escape with the 2-0 win, despite an anemic offense. "Nobody came to me and said, 'Clarence, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Williams told BNN reporters following the win.
