Parker Struts Stuff in Win Over Milwaukee HS
Wednesday, April 28th , 1915
The Milwaukee HS Bucs struggled at the plate against Blues hurler Henry Parker, who shackled them on 2 hits while hurling a complete-game 3-0 shutout.
"What can you say? We didn't hit well," said Bucs skipper Oscar Cooper in postgame comments. "Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow."
Parker finished the game with 1 strikeout and 2 walks in an excellent mound performance.
"He pitched real well," Indianapolis HS manager Dennis Cropley said. "Henry made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively."
Parker has started 14 times this year, pitched 103.2 innings, fanned 33 batters and walked 32. His current record is 4 wins and 7 losses with a 2.69 ERA.
