Columbus College Takes Division Series in Deciding Game Saturday, May 12th , 1917 The Columbus College Rocketmen and Little Rock College Padres hooked up in a classic Division Series that went right down to the wire. In the end, it's Columbus College heading off to the League Championship Series, after a 7-5 win at Rocketmen Field tonight earned the 3-2 series win. Outside Rocketmen Field, whether they were supporters of Columbus College or Little Rock College, many fans talked about how it was a series they would never forget. Curtis Williams played the hero for the Rocketmen in the series, as his MVP performance included a .333 batting average, with a .364 on-base percentage. He also had 0 home runs, 2 RBI and scored 1 runs. The Columbus College Rocketmen will play against the Chicago College Irish in the next round.
