Early Season End for Washington Monday, March 26th , 1917 "Not what I wanted to hear," said Ft. Worth College's Blue Washington to reporters this afternoon, as he revealed that the injury he sustained on 03/24/1917 would force him to miss the rest of the season. "The doctor made it clear," Washington said. "There's no chance for me -- none at all -- to come back this year. That's the last thing I wanted to hear." Washington has been out of action since he suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament. This season, Washington shows a 1-2 record in 6 games, 32.2 innings, 8 strikeouts, and a 1.10 ERA. |
