Injury Brings Season to End for Lewis Friday, April 21st , 1916 Chick Lewis had to wait several agonizing days to find out his diagnosis after suffering a torn labrum on 04/19/1916. Today he received word from the Fremont College doctor that he would be out the rest of the year. Team officials called it a huge setback but something they would have to overcome. On his stats sheet for the year Lewis shows a 4-8 record, 15 starts, 113.2 innings, 49 strikeouts and a 2.22 ERA. |
