Lightning Heading to League Championship Series Monday, May 12th , 1913 Obie Taylor said his Charlotte College Lightning simply weren't ready for the season to come to an end. "We told ourselves we were winning this series no matter what," he said, shortly after being named the Division Series MVP, following a 2-1 win at Oilers Ballpark that officially eliminated the Hialeah College Oilers, 3-1. Taylor said his team is "confident and ready" for the League Championship Series. The Charlotte College Lightning don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Modesto College Catfish - Ft. Worth College Mean Green series. Ft. Worth College leads the series 2 games to 1.
