Coakley Stops Allentown Friday, August 10th , 1917 Wendell Coakley of the Eau Claire Oysters shut out the Allentown Outlaws, 2-0, at Aquia Harbour Grounds, holding them to 5 hits with 2 walks and 5 strikeouts. Pressed for comments on his club's defeat, Allentown skipper Eino Barff called the outing from Coakley "a jewel."
