Holcroft Magic in 1-0 Shutout Monday, July 3rd , 1916 It was a dismal game for the Poplar Bluff Howlers with Price Holcroft on the hill. The Muskegon Muskrats starter was in top form, shutting out Poplar Bluff, 1-0. He surrendered a total of 4 hits and piled up 2 strikeouts to pick up the win in a rout. "No offense to the Howlers but that was a cakewalk today," Holcroft said to BNN reporters following the win.
