1919 EL Batting Title to Bob Fox Monday, August 25th , 1919 With another season in the books, the 1919 Eastern League batting title has been awarded to Providence third baseman Bob Fox. He put up a .380 batting average, recording 131 hits in 345 at-bats. Fox's numbers included 20 doubles, 9 triples, no home runs, 32 RBIs and 47 runs scored. This year's batting champ appeared in 97 games. |
