Baltimore, Foxton Snuff Out Angels Monday, June 18th , 1917 Domingo Foxton of the Baltimore Clippers shut out the Providence Angels, 7-0, at Cartwright Stadium, holding them to 6 hits with no walks and 4 strikeouts. Pressed for comments on his club's defeat, Providence skipper Mike Gazaway called the outing from Foxton "a jewel." "The way Foxton was pitching, it would have been tough for anyone to beat him," he said.
