Banshees Held in Check by Kings, Lose, 5-1
New York got a strong outing from Joseph Ablewhite as the Kings defeated the Boston Banshees, 5-1, at Kings Ballpark. The first-place Kings are 31-21.

Daniel Barnes had a big 2-run triple for the Kings in the bottom of the fourth inning. With New York leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a screwball from former first round draft pick Merrill Marsham and swatted a triple to left. It was his 8th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Kings ahead, 4-1.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Barnes.
