Banshees Suffer One-Run Loss at New York
Starting pitcher Henry Selvey fulfilled his part of the bargain, helping the New York Kings stymie the Boston Banshees, 3-2. Selvey, who is on pace to win 25 games this season, went the distance for New York. He gave up 2 runs on 7 hits. The Kings have now reeled off 7 straight wins.

The game was at a stalemate until pinch hitter Wesley Tyler came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Boston pitcher Verner Pomfret, he hit a 2-0 fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting New York on top, 3-1.

Boston manager Jesse Smith said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
