Rifles Win with Late Heroics
The fans at Libby Hill witnessed quite a game.

Santiago Coote did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Boston Banshees from being beaten, 5-4, to the Richmond Rifles at Libby Hill. Coote went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Charles Harman, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings.

The Rifles got a clutch hit from second baseman James Honeyfield. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Rifles.

"The crowd was raucous," said Honeyfield.

Boston has now lost 7 consecutive games.
