Baltimore Beats Philadelphia, 4-1
|
Baltimore used a superb performance from starting pitcher Domingo Foxton to down the Philadelphia Brewers, 4-1. The Clippers now have a mark of 11-15.
Baltimore used the timely hitting of Raphael Maris to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Clippers on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Domingo was dictating to their hitters," said Baltimore manager Murray Embleton.
