Clippers Slap 4-1 Loss on Bakers
|
Baltimore and New York got after it at Bakers Field.
Starting pitcher Ralph Hall did his part in helping the Baltimore Clippers thwart the New York Bakers, 4-1. Hall went the distance for Baltimore. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits.
Baltimore relied on the hitting of John Sherrill to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Clippers on top, 3-0. For the game, Sherrill had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"We'll try to build on that win," Sherrill told the Baltimore Citizen.
The loss drops New York to 9-7.
