Lee Goes Distance in Brooklyn Win
Pitcher Everette Lee was sensational for the Brooklyn Whales in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Richmond Rifles. Lee earned the win. The win puts Brooklyn at 2-0.

Lee picked up the win. He's now 1-0, after putting the Richmond offense in the deep freeze. Over 9 innings, he allowed no earned runs on 3 hits.

"You want to go out there and put up zeroes, that's the main thing," said Lee. "You don't want to get caught in one of those back-and-forth, run-for-run games."
