Whales Dominate, Sweep League Cup
Mick Samuelson said he expected the League Cup to be "a battle from start to finish."

In the end, it was nothing more than a minor skirmish, as the Brooklyn Whales encountered little resistance in sweeping the Richmond Rifles, to advance to the Legacy Cup.

"It may have been a sweep, but it still was a tough series," said Samuelson.

Brooklyn won the final game by a 7-3 count and were led in the series by Samuelson, who was named MVP. On the series, he hit .500 with 0 home runs. He also drove in 2 RBI and scored 3 runs.

The Brooklyn Whales don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Saint Louis Reds - Chicago Doves series. Saint Louis leads the series 2 games to 0. The Legacy Cup schedule will be announced after the League Cup finishes.
