Athletics Need Extra Innings to Top Reds, 4-3
The Cleveland Athletics picked up a win at Reds Ballpark, knocking off the Saint Louis Reds, 4-3, in 12 innings. Starting pitcher Ocie Stibbs played a key role in the triumph. Cleveland pitcher Otha Murfin got the win, upping his record to 4-1. Albert Boliver got the loss. The Athletics now have a mark of 53-58.

Frank Kettelby, who leads the WL in RBI with 65, had a direct impact on the outcome. Kettelby contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 12th inning to put Cleveland up, 4-3.

Kettelby said his team "played with focus."
